Skille Out, Two Re-called From Rockford

Add another injury to the list. It was reported yesterday that Jack Skille suffered a lower-body injury in Wednesday’s game in Washington. He will not play in tonight’s pre-season game vs. Minnesota. Skille was having a nice pre-season and this news could alter his chances of making the NHL roster out of training camp. Kris Versteeg (upper-body) and Dustin Byfuglien (groin) will be out of action as well.

Dave Bolland will be in the lineup tonight after missing the previous three pre-season games with a lower-back injury. He has been participating in the last couple practices this week. Bolland apparently played through the discomfort last year, and will do the same this season.

The Blackhawks also re-called two players yesterday to counter the injuries that are limiting guys from ice-time. Forwards Bryan Bickell and Rob Klinkhammer will rejoin the team after getting cut Tuesday. Also, forward Danny Bois and defenseman Richard Petiot were placed on waivers.
